Campaign Materials to Protect the Mine Ban Treaty & Save Lives!
The 1997 Mine Ban Treaty stands as one of the greatest achievements in humanitarian disarmament efforts, setting a gold standard for a comprehensive and highly effective treaty to protect civilians from indiscriminate weapons. Recently, however, it is facing unprecedented challenges as several countries are now contemplating withdrawal from this life-saving treaty, a move that risks reversing decades of progress in protecting civilians from the indiscriminate horrors of landmines.
This page serves as a central hub for the International Campaign to Ban Landmines’ (ICBL) global efforts to counter these dangerous decisions and inform the politicians and people in these countries why landmines were banned and should never be used again. Here you’ll find resources and actions from the ICBL and member organizations from around the world to protect lives and defend the Mine Ban Treaty, including:
Action alerts and other campaign materials
